CAN Bus Settings
To configure the CAN interface, go to Connections → CAN Bus in the sidebar.
The settings box allows you to configure each available CAN bus individually.
Bus Selection
Use the dropdown menu to select the CAN bus you want to configure, e.g. CAN1 Inverter, CAN2 BMS, etc.
Baud Rate
Select the desired baud rate from the dropdown list.
If you're unsure, use the „Detect Baud Rate“ button to scan the bus.
💡 This function requires at least one active device already sending on the CAN bus.
Termination Resistor
Use the dropdown to set the internal termination resistor:
- Enabled (120 Ω)
- Enabled (60 Ω)
- Off (Open)
You can also use the „Detect Termination“ button to estimate whether termination is currently active.
Measuring Termination Manually
To manually check termination, follow these steps:
Power off all devices on the CAN bus
Measure the resistance between CAN High and CAN Low using a multimeter
Correct termination should show ~60 Ω (2× 120 Ω in parallel)
120 Ω indicates one terminator is missing
Set the BMS's internal resistor accordingly using the dropdown
⚠️ Proper termination is critical for reliable CAN communication.
Typically, one 120 Ω resistor is placed at each end of the bus.
