To configure the current measurement, go to Current Sensor in the sidebar.
Select the type of current sensor used in your system.
🔓 Note: Each sensor type requires a separate unlock via grnbms.de before it can be used.
Only unlocked types will be available in the dropdown.
If a CAN-based sensor is selected, choose the CAN bus the sensor is connected to.
Ensure the correct baud rate and termination are set under Connections → CAN Bus.
Defines the current flow polarity.
If the value shown on the Overview page is inverted (e.g. charging shown as discharging), flip the direction here.
↔️ Tip: You can test direction by lightly charging or discharging the battery and observing the sign.
Some sensor types offer additional subtypes (e.g. variants, firmware versions, scaling differences).
This option appears automatically if required.
⚠️ Important: Selecting the wrong sensor type or subtype may lead to incorrect readings or system errors.
Make sure that the configured baud rate matches the one required by your current sensor.
You can find instructions on how to set the baud rate here.
⚠️ Important: An incorrectly configured baud rate will trigger a current sensor error and prevent communication.
